Authentication and pricing
Send your API key as a Bearer token in the Authorization header. Keep it private and store it in a server-side secret manager; do not place it in browser code, public repositories, or prompts. Each successful report generation deducts £2.75 from your prepaid wallet. API wallet deposits start at £50.
Generate a report
Send POST /api/v1/report/generate with a JSON body containing registration. You may include country as UK or IE; otherwise the service attempts to detect the jurisdiction. A successful response includes the report data, a PDF download URL, the amount deducted, and your remaining balance. A low balance returns HTTP 402. Missing or invalid credentials return HTTP 401.

GET /api/v1/balance— read wallet balance and remaining report count.GET /api/v1/reports?limit=50&offset=0— list reports belonging to the API account.
All endpoints require the same Bearer API key. Request and response models are published in the OpenAPI specification.
Source coverage and interpretation
Reports show matched vehicle identity, available specifications, estimates, and explicit check statuses. Live theft, finance, commercial-use, write-off, scrap, and full MOT/NCT history sources are not connected yet. These checks may be unavailable or unverified; that does not indicate a clear history. Estimates are not verified sale prices or guaranteed valuations. Reports are informational and are not a substitute for an inspection or official records.
